To fall in love with God is the greatest romance; to seek him the greatest adventure; to find him, the greatest human achievement.
― St. Augustine of Hippo
Hey everyone! I’m Sr. Eliana and I’m excited to come back to CSU after 3 years of exile in the Austrian Alps. Yes, you’re right…best exile ever.
I grew up on a tiny farm in Pennsylvania with my parents and one younger brother. We were a Protestant church going family, but after a few years of super crazy college living, I met Jesus for real and ended up converting to Catholicism when I was 21. If you want the full version of the story, just ask me.
After transferring colleges TWICE, I studied Theology at Franciscan University of Steubenville. I toured the midwest with NET Ministries and found myself working in youth ministry for a few years before figuring out God was calling me to religious life. The cliff note version of that story goes like this: I was like “NO WAY.” And then Our Lady was like, “Just be open…” And I was like, “FINE.” Then Jesus transformed my prayer life and relationship with him from being my Best Friend to being my One and Only. Again, feel free to ask for details.
Some of my earthly loves: chocolate, Italian coffee, hiking, swimming, running, chocolate and peanut butter in any form, pilgrimages, road trips, adventure, nature fun facts, chocolate, coffee ice cream, bonfires, houseplants, gardening, animals of any sort, fixing things, organization, innovative ideas, coffee beans covered in chocolate.
One of the greatest gifts and privileges in my life is walking with people, hearing their stories and watching God pour out his love on them. I’m looking forward to meeting each of you and getting to know you!
